Cleaning Hairbrushes and Combs

Hairbrushes, combs and makeup brushes can help you look beautiful, but they can get pretty dirty if you don’t clean them once in a while. There are plenty of good reasons to do so, from extending their life to keeping bacteria that causes acne from developing on your makeup brush. All you need to get the job done is a bowl of clean, warm water with a small amount of natural dish detergent mixed in. If it has been a while since you’ve cleaned them, let them soak for about 10 minutes. To remove stubborn build-up on hairbrushes and combs, gently scrub them with a toothbrush, rinse clean and then air dry. NOTE: Before you clean hairbrushes or combs use scissors to cut away excess hair.
